To celebrate our nation’s 43rd National Day, Minister George Yeo, Singapore’s first blogging Minister launched a blogging competition in July 2008 to encourage Singaporeans to express their individual vision of what Singapore should be like when they grow up.

Litespeed powered the website and received an overwhelming response from students of the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels. Although the judges had originally intended to give out two prizes per level, they found so many insightful and well-written blog entries that they included another prize for the most creative piece of writing. This competition was jointly organized by Harold Fock’s blog and Ephraim Loy’s blog. Winners received either an iPod Nano or iPod Shuffle.
